Half Moon Run is a talented trio from Canada (Devon Portielje (vocals, guitar, percussion), Conner Moalnder (guitar, synths, percussion, backing vocals), Dylan Phillips (synths, drums, ba)) – and boy are we happy that they’re coming to de Muziekgieterij for a show! This young band with raw talent has different musical backgrounds and even exchanges instruments on stage to keep everything interesting. But what does it sound like? Well, like a combination of psychedelic soundscapes and folky harmonies, warm electronics and delicate guitar riffs; like a combination of indie, pop and folk… Come and check it out!

The other band that will contribute to this wonderful evening is Kings Of The Day (Maurice Möllenbeck, Ben Graaf, Jan Bruschke, Max Wählen, Andy Reinard). This bands has its roots closer to home, in Vaals, and was founded in 2007. Their alternative rock that is reminiscent of Joy Division has led to their victory in Nu Of Nooit 2009 and consequently a show at Pinkpop, competing for the Grote Prijs and presenting their second single, Raise My Glass, in Paradiso. They are currently working on their debut album with a friend of de Muziekgieterij, Richard Thair from Red Snapper. A lot of quality music for you this evening!
